Teach-USA: A Bridge To Your Dreams

Q&A on Employment Facilitation Services

“Are you still recruiting teachers?”

“Am I”? Technically, I do not own a school so I do not “recruit” teachers to teach for me, however, we do have an employment facilitation agency, Teach-USA, where we “recruit” teachers to seek our services so we can bring out the best in them, and in doing so, allow them to be employable anywhere in the world.

Do we charge school districts for recruitment fees for the J1 program? No.

Different school districts we work with do not pay us recruitment fees because we do not recruit for them. Although our work is valuable in such a way that we spread the word about their job openings. Both districts and teachers have the autonomy to select who they want to work with.

Truth About Recruitment Fees:

Usually, recruitment fees are charged to companies when recruitment services are done for them.

1) The recruitment agency will provide the Client with information concerning applicants whom they AGREE to consider for employment.

When school districts give permission for Teach-USA to apply, teachers are given links. It is up to the teacher to select the districts and schools to apply if they want to. Teach-USA teachers’ application with the district DOES NOT necessarily mean that the school districts AGREE to consider them for employment. School districts undergo their own screening. Districts have the option to NOT choose a Teach-USA applicant.

2) Prescreening and interviewing based on Client specific criteria.

Teach-USA chooses our teachers based on their willingness to undergo the process and be trained. Our mock interview is a collaborative effort with teachers who have been successful in the process. We do not prescreen or interview based on any school district’s requirements or criteria.

3) Presenting eligible applicants directly to Human Resources (“HR”)

HR and schools have 100% control of the process. They choose from the available list who applied to them and they decide on who they want to hire themselves.

4) Coordination of interviews with HR

We help spread the word when interviews are requested.

Teach-USA Service Fee Explained:

1) Do we charge teachers “recruitment” fees? No.

2) Do we charge teachers for “being selected, hired or employed” (ergo, placement) with the school district? No.

3) Do we charge teachers for the services (online collaboration, customer service, professional development, important resources) we provided (while they were undergoing the application process) that “could be the factors” that allowed them to be selected, hired and/or get sponsor visa approval? Yes.

4) Do we charge teachers for the relocation services (airport pick-up, initial housing arrangements, and carpool, community resources, if needed) we provide to help them initially settle in the US? Yes, as optional service.

UPDATE: Teach-USA processes became more dynamic starting SY 21-22 to empower and give teachers more choices. These services have become optional services with Teach-USA.

5) You charge a fee (per successful applicant) for your services, why? The rate for our services is commensurate to the perceived value of our work. We have a high regard for the time and effort we put in for our applicants. We are proud of the continual improvement process we have in place to improve our system and services.

Filipino Applicants – Please check this page for our J1 Visa Service Plan Fee.
Non-Filipino Applicants – Please check this page for our J1 Visa Service Plan Fee.
Please know that the Teach-USA service fee does not include evaluation and license fees (optional), J1 visa sponsorship fees (participants pay the sponsor directly), US embassy application fees, CFO fees, flight fees or relocation fees (optional)).

6) Are your teachers forced to join your group? No. Teachers have a choice to join us and commit to the process. And yes, when successful, we expect them to honor their word and the agreement they signed with Teach-USA.

TEACH-USA: A Bridge to Your Dreams

We are simply your bridge. Unfortunately, crossing the bridge IS NOT FREE.
And yes, you do have an option to not use the bridge at all or to cross other bridges, free or otherwise.

  2. I am a public teacher for 13 years, a classroom adviser and at the same time a Grade I adviser. Doctoral graduate with two children, my husband is a fisherman, financially unstable and I cannot provide even the basic needs of my immediate family because of so many valid reasons, I have strong courage to apply in teaching US because of that reasons. Do I have the chance to be part of the organization in teaching US?

  11. God send us nice and dependable people to be the bridge towards a better life. In building bridges it needs money for the materials and labor and passing through the bridge toll gate requires you to pay for the services. These are not free. Be thankful and pay for what is due.

  16. It would be an honor to honor my word as well. I am willing to undergo the process and hopefully I will be one of the successful applicants through you, Teach_USA. I understand the fees, and I am all out supporting that for continued better services now and in the future so others can also enjoy the great services offered to successful applicants in the future.

  21. I am thankful to encounter Teach- USA which is clearly my goal as of this time. I understand that there is no easy way to cross the bridge of success. It entails giving up what you’re in right now, and be willing to step on new journey with a clear blank page to write on. All you have to do is decide and prepare your willingness to go on to your next journey with all your heart and mind. Monetary involvement is just normal wherever agency you may try, I clearly understand how it works. However one of my question is do you have a partner company to shoulder fees and pay later just like a lending company?

  33. Evaluation is always part of the teaching-learning process. You can only learn and improve by being evaluated and accepting things that you would have to change to make your teaching better. Prepare. Prepare. Prepare. Preparation is always the best step. In teaching, preparation is a must. If after all the efforts, the evaluators still think that you lack something, then, don't give up.

  37. Evaluation is very vital in education because it is a teaching-learning process. As a teacher, I will never be scared of an everyday observation in class instead I will take this opportunity to elevate my potential. Preparation is the primary solution. Always come to school prepared. In this way, I might be able to lessen my stress over the work.
